SRINAGAR: In advance of the Lok Sabha polls, Union Dwelling Minister Amit Shah and senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot are gearing up to handle gatherings in Jammu and Kathua on Tuesday.
Amit Shah is scheduled to discuss at the Manhas Biradari Ground in the vicinity of Paloura, rallying support for BJP candidates Dr Jitendra Singh and Jugal Kishore Sharma, contesting from Udhampur and Jammu Parliamentary constituencies, respectively.
In the meantime, Sachin Pilot will deal with rallies in Kathua in help of Congress candidates, which include Choudhary Lal Singh for the Udhampur constituency and Raman Bhalla for the Jammu Lok Sabha seat.
As the first stage of campaigning attracts to a shut, these rallies have important strategic relevance, primarily in fiercely contested constituencies like Udhampur and Jammu.
In Udhampur, the battle is principally among Union Minister Jitendra Singh and Congress’ Choudhary Lal Singh, with other candidates also vying for consideration. The constituency heads to the polls on April 19.
Equally, in Jammu, the major contest is concerning BJP’s Jugal Kishore and Congress’ Raman Bhalla, with other functions also in the fray. This constituency is unfold over 4 districts and is scheduled for elections in the 2nd section on April 26, 2024.
