SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday mentioned that they initiated legal action in response to the spreading of a fabricated video supposed to provoke unrest in the Rajouri district.
“A online video has been circulated on social media in which some objectionable slogans are listened to through a procession in the Kalakote space of Rajouri. Throughout original analysis, it was identified that the movie is edited/unoriginal in character with the audio of slogans extra to produce unrest,” the law enforcement reported in a statement.
It claimed the police has taken the issue severely and a case beneath the suitable sections of legislation has been registered at the Kalakote police station for a in-depth investigation to provide the culprits to guide.
“People are requested not to drop prey to rumours and to steer clear of sharing the movie which shall entice stringent lawful action,” the statement explained.
