CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — The 2024 USA Cycling Pro Road National Championships will kick off in Charleston on Election Day, May 14. This means people who vote in the area will need to take a different route.
According to the city, there are three precincts directly impacted by May 14’s cycling events from around 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: 406 (Mary C. Snow Elementary School), 170 (Terrace Park East) and 174 (Carroll Terrace).

Mary C. Snow Elementary School (Precinct 406)
Instead of going on Kanawha Boulevard, the city of Charleston tells voters they can enter and exit through 2nd Avenue and Florida Street.
Terrace Park East (Precinct 170)
There are two ways to get into Terrace Park East, according to the city of Charleston. You can enter through the westbound lane of Kanawha Boulevard, or go from California Avenue to Washington Street East to Michigan Avenue.
Voters will exit via Veazy Street to Washington Street East.
Carroll Terrace (Precinct 174)
You can get to Carroll Terrace by entering from the westbound lane of Kanawha Boulevard, or through Virginia Street. Voters will exit via Virginia Street, according to the city.
You can also vote before Election Day up to May 11. Monday through Friday, you can vote between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Locations will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, the city says.
