CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — A man was declared dead on scene after a two-vehicle crash in Charleston Saturday.
According to the Charleston Police Department, Stanley Aaron Burkes, 63, of Charleston, was pronounced dead at the site of the crash after succumbing to his injuries, which occurred at the intersection of Kanawha Boulevard East and East Point Drive around 4:52 p.m.
Burkes’ vehicle reportedly failed to yield while turning left onto East Point Drive and was struck by an oncoming driver. The state of the other driver has not been reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
