CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — It was a par-tee at the Edgewood Country Club Monday morning because the annual Mountain Mission’s “Tee Off for Emergency Assistance” charity golf outing started.
Mountain Mission teamed up with WOWK 13 News, as well as Randy Marion Automotive, Bigley Piggly Wiggly, Harper Engineering and WesBanco to put on the event, according to their website.
“It’s about raising money to help families in need all across the Greater Kanawha Valley,” John Roberts, Executive Director for Mountain Mission, said to Good Day at 4 Host Merrily McAuliffe “We get the fellowship, we get to have some rounds of golf, good food, good prizes, but at the end of the day, it’s about helping people in need.”
Roberts said 22 teams participated in the event. You can donate to Mountain Mission by clicking here if you cannot make it out to the golf course.
