ATHENS, OH (WOWK) — Ohio University has announced that it will be building a new practice facility for its Marching 110, according to an OU release.
With the help of a $1 million gift from Marching 110 alumni Shawn Hurley and Tracey (Hanna) Hurley, the Marching 110 Band Complex and Hurley Field will be presented to the Ohio University Board of Trustees at an upcoming meeting.
A fundraising goal of $3 million has been set by the university to help fully fund the complex with construction of Hurley Field is expected to finish by the Fall 2026 band season.

“We’re so proud to help build a forever home for the 110 and give back to an organization that has always felt like home to us. Both Tracey and I hope this gift will ensure the continued success and growth of the Marching 110 for generations to come,” Shawn Hurley said.
Located on South Shafer Street next to the Chessa Field soccer facility, the new facility will include a turf installation, a director’s tower, all-accommodating restroom facilities and additional amenities.
