SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Law enforcement have arrested two drug peddlers in Sopore and Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession, in addition to booked two notorious drug peddlers less than PIT NDPS Act in Kulgam.
“In Sopore, a law enforcement get together of Law enforcement Station Sopore headed by SHO PS Sopore underneath the supervision of SDPO Sopore Sarfaraz Bashir, at a checkpoint at Adipora Sopore, intercepted a car or truck bearing registration amount JK05H-6710 driven by Farooq Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Rashid Mir resident of Adipora Sopore. “The two infamous drug peddlers identified as Dawood Ahmad Bhat son of Mohd Amin Bhat resident of Mohammadpora and Sayar Ahmad Mir son of Abdul Salam Mir resident of Waripora, DH Pora, have been booked below PIT NDPS Act following obtaining formal detention orders from the proficient authority. The booked drug peddlers have been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Bhalwal Jammu,” the law enforcement said.
“Consistent motion of Police against the criminals should reassure the group users that police is creating all attempts to eradicate social evils and producing all efforts to continue to keep the modern society totally free from drug abuse,” the law enforcement extra.
