SRINAGAR: The nomination of 3 candidates ended up turned down during scrutiny of papers for Jammu Lok Sabha constituency on Saturday, leaving 23 candidates in the fray, officials stated.
The Lok Sabha polls in Jammu constituency will be held in the second section of elections on April 26.
Returning Officer for Jammu parliamentary constituency Sachin Kumar Vaishya, executed the scrutiny of nomination papers submitted by the candidates for the approaching Lok Sabha elections, they mentioned.
After comprehensive scrutiny, the nomination varieties of 23 candidates had been located valid, although the candidature of 3 candidates, two covering candidates – Chanranjeet Chargotra (BSP) and Indra Bhalla (Congress) – and Impartial Ravinder Singh, were being turned down as for every norms, the officials said.
