From the KY HBPA Media Staff / Jennie Rees:
Ashland winner Leslie’s Rose video
Leslie’s Rose defeated 2-yr-aged filly champ Just F Y I by a few lengths in Keeneland’s opening-day, $600,000, Quality 1 Ashland Stakes, a major prep for the Kentucky Oaks. We discuss with successful trainer Todd Pletcher and owner Mandy Pope, who compensated $1.15 million for the daughter of Into Mischief as a yearling. We also listen to from Invoice Mott, trainer of Just F Y I, who was earning her initial start off considering that winning the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies on Nov. 3 right after missing a scheduled get started in Gulfstream Park’s March 2 Davona Dale with a temperature.
Also on Keeneland’s opening-day card:
Crimson White and Blue Racing’s Neat ($28.82) wins $400,000, G3 Transylvania for 3-yr-olds on grass by a nose under Reylu Gutierrez. We speak with Pink White and Blue’s Randy Gullat and successful trainer Rob Atras, who received his 1st race at Keeneland. (Sorry about the h2o place or gentle spot on Atras’ face. Interview was moved into tunnel mainly because of rain and I didn’t see it though videoing).
